Very independent and curious, Patrick's favorite phrases these days are "My do it" and "'zis, Mommy?" (what's this)
We spent time this month with the Yoga Boys and the Yoga Mamas (two entirely separate groups!), at Soccer Tots, music class, the Albany Art Room, and dinner at Friendly's.
Whenever Michael's working, Patrick and Robin talk about how he's at the hospital, "helping people feel better." The other night during a diaper change, Robin had the Desitin out and said, "Here's some butt-paste to make your bottom feel better." Patrick's eyes lit up as he made the connection... "Daddy at work, make people feel better!!" Quite an image of life in the ED...
Patrick requested playdough this morning. We didn't have any in the house, so we made our own (with Buckley's help). Not sure which he enjoyed the most -- the measuring, dumping, mixing, squishing, or playing with the result.
2 cups flour 2 cups warm water 1 cup salt 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon cream of tartar
Mix together, and stir over low heat until the dough pulls away from the sides and clumps in the center (do not undercook, or it will be sticky).
When cool, separate into balls and add food coloring.
Buckley is here for an extended visit while Meegan and Meredith are vacationing in Ireland. Llama is enjoying having a playmate in the backyard, and Patrick's having fun tormenting "two doggies!"
Patrick had fun all week, working on cards for family and hearts for a party with his friends. A scribble here, a monkey sticker there, until at last they were done...
Another peek today showed the little one dancing, wiggling, and body-surfing. Patrick pointed to the screen and said "Sister!" Is he right? Only time will tell...
Patrick has been saying "Go Steelers" all week, and eagerly attended his first Super Bowl party. He didn't stay up late enough to watch the spectacular finish, but enjoyed the first half and Bruce Springsteen.
Michael was beyond excited to see his Steelers win so dramatically...
