Goodbye Marina

Since last May when Robin was on bedrest at St. Peter's, Marina has spent a couple afternoons a week with the boys. Soon she'll be finishing her degree, getting married, and moving to Germany, so today was her last day. We will all miss her, but wish her well.

Remembering Ben

Last week, we learned the tragic news of Robin's cousin Ben's death. He had been killed in combat in Afghanistan. Family, friends, and strangers gathered together and there was a tremendous outpouring of support from the community.

Patrick and James attended the wake, and Michael and Robin drove up for the funeral and reception the next day. Patrick was filled with questions, as we saw stories on the news almost every day for over a week. How do you explain war and death to a three-year-old? Lots for a little boy (and his parents) to process...
